Cheryl Mitchell
Cheryl Mitchell is a multidisciplinary creative professional specializing in design thinking, digital marketing strategy, brand strategy, campaign creation and activation, and communication. She brings over twenty-five successful years of design experience to every assignment.
Her creative philosophy is to always be curious and status quo is never the solution. Listening rather than talking, understanding the fundamentals of form, spacial relationships, targeted messaging and creative objectives is the foundation of exceptional. Her principle design integrity is “form always follows function”. Craft is devoted to the minimal elements of style such as layout, textures and illustration, supporting simple mesages.
With an undergraduate foundation from the Philadelphia College of Art in the Swiss Graphic Design discipline of design, her style is one of clean simplicity with a touch of whimsy. Graduating Marywood University with an MFA in visual arts, she has reached one of the highest creative plateaus in her field. Ms. Mitchell has a diverse commercial background, ranging from small agency to large corporate environments. She knows precisely what goes into award winning communications, branding excellence and digital marketing effectiveness. She owned a successful design studio in Philadelphia for 8 years, working with non-profits, large pharmaceuticals, entrepreneurs and fortune 500 companies. She sold the business to her partner to start a family and pursue an in-house design management position for Aetna. The opportunity allowed her to lead and manage a department of 25 people consisting of designers, writers and production artists. She has won awards for her logos and layouts. She is presently enjoying one of the most challenging opportunities of her career; directing the brand of a Fortune 225 publicly traded corporation with
a 113 year history.
